European and British style, friction sliding musket sling, this all-leather slings will fit Enfield’s, Austrian Lorenzes and other types of muskets. The sling attaches via looping around the upper sling holder and then around the lower and being secured with leather ties. The sling adjusts with leather loops that slide, so it is easy to adjust quickly on the march.
This is similar to the older British sling in use before the version with the buckle and was copied by makers in Belgium who also made copies of Enfield muskets. this type of sling was run through the blockade as well as being imported with European muskets by the Federal government.
Ours is made by C.A. Davisson of high quality, strong leather. The sling is undyed as many originals leaving the option of dying it black or not to you. The sling measures about 45 inches.
