U.S. Federal Army Ammo Boxes
US. Army ammunition boxes from the pre & early war era, before the war was well underway, ammunition boxes were painted blue for .69 caliber Round Ball or red for .69 caliber Buck & Ball (buckshot) this was due to the fact many soldiers could not read in decades prior to war years. Select from down below by which color you want. Measurements are in the photographs.
These boxes are an excellent choice for the upcoming “early war anniversary events”.
NOTE: these boxes have never been used but they have been in a museum display for a couple of years, otherwise are like new.
