A beautiful copy of a Sheffield Bowie Knife. A nice medium sized belt knife. 6-inch blade. Brass oval guard with walnut scales with a hand sewn leather sheath. The originals were made by Sheffield Knife Company of England, still in business today. The Sheffield bowie knife were commonly available in the American, Europe and British empire. Throughout the 19th century. This useful muti purpose knife was carried by many men on both sides as a fighting and general-purpose utility knife. These high-quality accurate replicas are made by Adam Daub of “18th CENTURY ARMS” are perfect for both Federal and Confederate use as these were common before and during the war.
