Boyle & Gamble of Richmond Virginia, Confederate side knife, reproduction, made by Adam Duab. These were among the most practical Knives, issued by the Confederacy. Called a “Camp Knife” by the manufacturer, these were not only fighting knives, but practical for all manner of camp chores.
We chose this style to have reproduced due to the significate numbers made, the practical size and weight of the knives as well as the popularity with the soldiers. The shape of the handle appears as if the originals were made with a some type of tool handle pattern, as those are very similar.
Each knife comes with a leather scabbard, see photos for measurements.
Originals can be seen in the excellent book, CONFEDERATE BOWIE KNIVES by Melton, Phillps & Sexton.
