Richmond Depot ‘Type 2 “Jacket in variated jean cloth. This is the jacket most commonly issued to the Army of Northen Virginia, and soldiers in the Virgina theater of the War from 1862 to the last months of the war. This jacket features much hand finishing as well as hand sewn buttonholes, belt loops on the sides of the jacket, epaulettes, wood buttons as used by the Virginia depots. This jacket has a cotton lining and inside pockets. Jacket, fabrics and buttons all made by N.J. Sekela.
